At the core of entrepreneurship and business development, a user-centric approach to product and service development is one of the key factors to win customer loyalty. In the recent decade, User Experience Design (UXD) has been highly regarded as an effective means to drive product success.

In this workshop, you will discover the impacts of UXD for businesses in the digital transformation process; have the chance to experience it hands-on with design software, as well as to familiarize with the latest job opportunity in the tech industry.

  • The impacts of UXD for businesses in the digital transformation process
  • IT industry development and employment trends
  • Start-up and Entrepreneurship in Hong Kong

Session 2: 31 Mar 2021 (Wednesday), 2:30pm – 4pm

  • Interaction design and the anatomy of mobile app
  • Use high-fidelity wireframe to define the functions and features of a mobile app
  • Employ UX/UI design software (Figma) to create interactive prototype



Mr. Marco Ho,
Co-founder and Lead Instructor of GreenTomato Academy

Experienced in online marketing from strategic to implementation, Marco is a cross-disciplinary professional and educator skilled and knowledgeable in marketing, advertising, design, and digital solutions. He has worked with many brands from the financial and F&B industries, and a prize winner of the A’Design Award. Holder of the Master’s Degree in Design (Design Strategies), HK PolyU, He was previously the Programme Leader of Higher Diploma in Digital Marketing, HKDI/IVE and currently the External Examiner of the Higher Diploma in Graphic Design, CBCC.


Ms. Jacqueline Chong,

Co-founder of TalkBox App

Jacqueline is a technical marketer and the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Green Tomato, one of Hong Kong’s leading innovation consultancies, and its startup incubation arm, GT STUDIO. In 2011, she co-founded TalkBox, a mobile app with over 13 million users that pioneered hold-to-talk voice messaging, which was available in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, and Israel. At Plutux, Jacqueline is primarily responsible for strategy, marketing, resource planning, business process instilment and mentoring. She earned her bachelor degree in Biology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and received her masters in Creative and Media Enterprises from the University of Warwick. She is considered a long-time advisor at various incubation programs and startup competitions in Hong Kong.
